The BMW 801 Aircraft Engine

The BMW 801 was an air-cooled fourteen cylinder two-row fuel injected and supercharged engine. The BMW 801 was a powerful engine whose only real vice was a tendency to overheat, it's later versions powered some of the best German aircraft of WW2, these included the Dornier Do 217 bomber, Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter, Junkers Ju 88 fighter bomber and the Junkers Ju 188 bomber.
