The Rolls Royce Conway Aircraft Engine

The Rolls Royce Conway was developed in the early 1950's and was the World's first bypass (turbofan) jet aero-engine. The Rolls Royce Conway was the engine chosen to power the RAF'S Handley Page Victor nuclear bomber and later the Vickers VC10 airliner, some of these are still used by the RAF as a transport and tanker aircraft.
