Curtiss P-6 Hawk Fighter Plane

The Curtiss P-6E Hawk was an American fighter aircraft that was used by the United States Army Air Corps as a pursuit fighter from 1932 until 1937 at which time nearly all were scrapped or sold. 46 Curtiss P-6E Hawk were originally delivered but the majority were lost in accidents giving the type a very poor and undesirable safety record. A small number of Hawks are known to still have been operated by the United States Army Air Corps as late as 1942 but exact dates and numbers are unknown.
