Max Holste MH.1521m Broussard Military Aircraft

The Max Holste MH.1521 Broussard was built in the early 1950's for the French Army as a lightweight liaison and observation aircraft, it entered service 1954 and remained in operational use until 1983 at which time 396 aircraft had been produced. The Broussard was used in the 1954 to 1962 Algerian War, but it was found that unfortunately the Algerian guerrillas could hear the aircraft from a great distance, this severely limited effectiveness as an observation platform.
