Boeing Stearman E75 Military Trainer Aircraft

The model 75 was designed by Stearman as a military trainer in the early 1930's, a total of 9,783 were built most operated by the USAAF and the USN, following the acquisition of Stearman by Boeing in 1934 the aircraft became widely known as just the "Boeing-Stearman" or "Boeing Kaydet". After the end of WWII many Boeing-Stearman Model 75's were sold on to private owners most becoming crop dusters or sports planes. The aircraft pictured below is one of 353 aircraft fitted with the R-680-17 engine and designated as the Boeing Stearman E75 (PT-13D). The other Stearman pictures are of the Continental R-670 powered Boeing A75N1 (PT-17) Stearman.

"44" Aircraft History

This Boeing Stearman A75N1 Kaydet (PT-17) was built in 1942 and came to the UK in the 1990's, it is powered by a Continental W-670-6A radial engine, although now privately registered as G-RJAH it was previously registered as N75957 in the US. The aircraft is painted in the original USAAC colour scheme.
