Saab 105 Military Trainer Aircraft

The Saab 105 was designed as a military trainer with the instructor and trainee pilot sitting side by side for the Swedish Air Force in the early 1960's, it first flew in 1963, the Saab 105 entered service with the Austrian Air Force four years later in 1967. The Swedish Air Force designated the Saab 105 the SK-60 and purchased 150 aircraft. The Austrian Air Force purchased 40 aircraft built as a two seat attack aircraft and designated them the Saab 105 OE to replace it's aging the De Havilland Vampires, it is one of these aircraft pictured on this page.
