Nieuport 11 WW1 Fighter

The Nieuport 11 was designed by Gustave Delage as an improved version of the existing Nieuport 11 which proved to be at a distinct disadvantage, like all allied fighters, against the German Fokker Eindecker, the situation was so bad the period is still referred to as the "Fokker Scourge". The Introduction of the Nieuport 11 in January 1916 and the Airco DH.2 in February 1916 reversed the situation with the Allies gaining the upper hand in the air, this situation was destined to last for just over six months, at which time the introduction of the German Halberstadt D.II and Albatros D.I fighters reversed the position.
